A couple of quick ones. First, isn’t that horrendous Dan Brown “book” an idiot’s idiotic version of Umberto Eco’s The name of the rose? Also, do you really want to advertise your lack of discernment by owning a copy?

“So, why bother with such a close reading of a worthless novel?”

See “Dismantling The Da Vinci Code”for Sandra Miesel’s critique.

  1. Thank you! I’ve been saying this since that blasted book came out. In fact, I’ve tried to suggest Eco’s book to anyone who has mentioned the Brown book but the response is usually that Eco is too difficult. Lightweights.

Thanks for your suggestion regarding my mediocre Medieval reading. I’m looking into the Frugoni book. I’m enjoying your site - glad to have ‘met’ you on LibraryThing.
